Wow! Amazing book! I couldn't stop reading it. Forget sleeping, eating. But it ends with a CLIFFHANGER! I do not like those, but since the next book is available, I can rest easier... This is the second book about this complex group of people, a boy band, an almost all girl garage band, their family and friends, all intertwined. Liv and Sebastian are getting married and they have asked Saylor and Oliver to be maid of honor and best man. This story revolves around the 2 months or so leading up to and including their Hawaiian destination wedding. Oliver has had the hots for Saylor since he kissed her 6 months ago, but all she sees with him is trouble, even if he's gorgeous and wealthy; he's a player. Saylor has heavy baggage and doesn't need to be toyed with. Sebastian warned Oliver away. So why does Oliver still pursue her? Why can't he stop thinking about her? Warning... cliffhanger ending. And another cliffhanger in the next book too! I hate when authors sell parts of books. Ridiculous! Won’t be reading anymore of this authors books for that very reason.
Egads! This is one sexy emotional story about two rockers that try to find love in their crazy world of music and fame. Fantastic writing and wonderful characters. Hated the cliffhanger but can’t wait for the conclusion.
This book was by a new author to me and I was just so surprised that I haven't read any books by this author before! The antagonistic relationship between the hero and heroine that was evident at the beginning of the story was great to watch turn into something else over time. The chewer well written and the storyline is strong. Looking forward to seeing what happens in the next book!
This was the second book I have read by this author and seriously fell in love with it and the characters. Oliver and Saylor were just so awesome together. There was definitely great chemistry between them. There were definitely some secrets between them and some unexpected things but it was still great and worth reading. Can not wait to read the next one. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
Off the charts explosive chemistry, dark secrets neither is willing to share, deep loyalty for those few they love and various crazy situations playing out around this group of lifetime friends and family. All in this one story about a couple in deep denial for separate reasons who in my humble opinion need each other more than they realize. Extreme emotional highs and lows in this enimes to lovers rock and roll romance with a huge cliff at the end! loved it! Excitedly awaiting more!
Such a page turner!! I couldn't get through the pages quick enough. Loved these characters and their attraction. I'm not sure why I was in such a hurry, because now I get to wait for the next part of Oliver and Saylor's story. Poor planning on my part for sure.
I loved “Sugar, We’re Going Down” by M.H. Soars.
To be honest, I fell hard for these characters when they were introduced in “Wonderwall”. I knew Saylor and Oliver would be explosive and I was so right. All the characters in SWGD are fully developed and so interesting. You feel like they could be people you know.
Of course, I’m loving the fact that this installment takes place in the U.S.—much easier to picture places that I might know. I need to find the restaurant in Hermosa Beach and find out if the eggplant sausage really is that good. LOL!
I’ll admit SWGD is a light-hearted read. Nothing gets overly emotional until the end of the tale, and I’m not giving it away. All I can say is shame on you, Soars for the set-up! I can’t wait till June!
Great installment! If you haven’t read Wonderwall, make sure you do before plunging into Sugar, We’re Going Down. You won’t be disappointed.
